First Group Vineyard Tour

On a beautiful September evening the first, of what we hope will be many, group vineyard tours took place at our main commercial Doehole site.

A group of 19 adults and 2 children wandered round in the early evening sunshine listening to us talk about Amber Valley Wines, UK Wine, Vineyards and Vines for nearly an hour.

After the tour the group were invited to taste a couple of English wines at the Plough Inn followed by a cracking meal with the Plough hosts Anthony & Laura.

This event, albeit the first, was a great success and evening with some lovely people.

Bud Rubbing & Shoot Selection Complete

The Bud Rubbing and Shoot Selection is now complete for the whole of the Doehole Vineyard site.

With the help of some very willing Twitter volunteers, the work was completed in swift fashion on Tuesday (24th July) night in gorgeous Derbyshire sunshine.

Everyone welcomed a well earned drink in the Plough Inn afterwards.

Thanks to all the volunteers we're now just on weed and grass cutting duty until later in the year.
